APU JSC

APU JSC is Mongolia's leading beverage and liquid-food producer, tracing its origins to 1924, when it began as a small hand-operated distillery in Ulaanbaatar with 14 employees. It is one of the country's oldest continuously operating industrial enterprises. The company converted to a joint-stock structure in 1992 and was fully privatised in 2001. Today it manufactures across five product categories — spirits, beer, water and soft drinks, juices, and dairy — with a portfolio of roughly 35 brands and more than 330 SKUs, including Chinggis vodka and the Altangovi, Sengur and Borgio beer labels. It employs over 2,400 people and exports to several international markets, with China and Russia as its principal export destinations. APU is listed on the Mongolian Stock Exchange under the ticker APU and is among the exchange's most liquid securities. In August 2021 it became the first MSE-listed company to surpass a ₮1 trillion market capitalisation. Dutch brewer HEINEKEN has held a 25% strategic stake since 2018.
