Gobi JSC

Gobi JSC is Mongolia's oldest and largest cashmere manufacturer, listed on the Mongolian Stock Exchange under the ticker GOV. Founded in September 1981 with Japanese investment under a UNIDO project, it processes 100% Mongolian goat cashmere, camel wool and yak down, and is regarded as one of the world's top five cashmere producers. Privatised in 2007, it is now majority-controlled by Tavan Bogd Holdings and holds over half of Mongolia's domestic cashmere market while exporting to more than 30 countries.
