Spirit Bal Buram LLC

Spirit Bal Buram LLC is a Mongolian producer of spirits and alcoholic beverages, originally established in 1943 as the "Spirit Zavod" distillery in Zuunkharaa, Selenge province, and expanded into the Spirit Bal Buram combine in 1973. It was converted into a state-majority joint stock company in 1992, fully privatised from 1998 as an MCS Group subsidiary, and became a subsidiary of APU JSC in 2017 when APU acquired Heineken's Mongolian holdings. Its brands include Grand Khaan, Chinggis, Kharaa, Khubilai and Yeroo, and the company is a leader in domestic spirits sales. The Zuunkharaa plant, equipped with automated technology from Germany's Schmitt, has capacity for 15 tonnes of spirit per day, 6,000 bottles of vodka per hour and 250 kg of liquefied carbon dioxide.
