Capital Markets Mongolia (CMM) Signs MOU to Support the "National Green Lab" Initiative

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia – Capital Markets Mongolia (CMM) is pleased to announce the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to serve as a strategic advisor for the National Green Lab (NGL). The platform’s launch ceremony took place today at the Government House of Mongolia.
The National Green Lab is a milestone initiative launched by the Office of the President of Mongolia in preparation for the 17th Conference of the Parties (COP17) of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), which Mongolia will host in 2026. The platform is designed to accelerate Mongolia's transition to a green economy by bridging the gap between domestic nature-based projects and international capital markets.
Strategic Role of Capital Markets Mongolia:
As a strategic advisor, CMM will provide specialized consultancy to prepare green projects for successful fundraising through the following frameworks:
- Investment Readiness: Enhancing the technical and financial structures of projects to meet international financing standards and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) requirements.
- Bridge Mechanism: Connecting high-potential projects with domestic and international investors while managing investment pitches and promotional activities.
- COP17 Preparation: Providing strategic guidance for high-level investor events during COP17 to showcase Mongolia’s green investment opportunities to a global audience.
A Unified Multi-Sector Partnership
In addition, this initiative has been joined by industry-leading organizations, including the Business Council of Mongolia (BCM), the Mongolian Natural Heritage Foundation, The Nature Conservancy (TNC), the Project Management Institute (PMI) Mongolia Chapter, NovaTerra LLC, DBM Asset Management LLC, DBM Leasing LLC, and Erxes Mongolia LLC.
The launch event was attended by officials from the Office of the President of Mongolia, relevant ministries, the United Nations, the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and leaders from the financial sector. Attendees emphasized that Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) are the cornerstone of achieving a successful green transition for Mongolia.
