CMM Successfully Hosts Second Annual Mongolia Investment Forum in London

CMM Successfully Hosts Second Annual Mongolia Investment Forum in London
Press Release · September 15, 2026 · London, United Kingdom
Capital Markets Mongolia (CMM) hosted the Mongolia Investment Forum: London 2026 on September 15, the eighth edition of its global forum series and the second held in London, following editions in New York, Singapore, and Shanghai. The forum gathered approximately 150 participants, including around 100 international participants representing 80 international institutions, making it one of the largest gatherings of global investors focused on Mongolia ever convened in the United Kingdom.
The international audience spanned the full breadth of the capital markets community: fixed income and sovereign credit investors, equity capital markets advisors, global law firms, development finance institutions including the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Asian Development Bank, the London Stock Exchange, and UK government officials focused on critical minerals policy.

The forum opened with remarks by Munkhjin B., Ambassador of Mongolia to the United Kingdom, and Odonbaatar A., Chief Executive Officer of Golomt Bank.
In the opening presentation, "Mongolian Economy and Where It's Headed," Zolbayar Enkhbaatar, Founder and CEO of Capital Markets Mongolia, set out the case that Mongolia's economy has begun a structural transition. In 2025, copper overtook coal as Mongolia's top export commodity for the first time — $5.83 billion against $5.77 billion — while the next wave of uranium, gold, and critical minerals development is underway, including Orano Group's $1.6 billion Zuuvch-Ovoo uranium project and the Mongolia–UK Strategic Roadmap on Critical Minerals Cooperation. Mongolia's capital markets have expanded alongside this shift. Six debut issuers have brought Mongolia's international non-sovereign bond issuance since 2024 to $4.6 billion —exceeding the total volume issued over the prior 16 years combined.
"Mongolia has begun the transition to a market economy built on several commodities and open capital markets — steadier growth and stronger resilience," Zolbayar told the forum. "The most interesting time to meet a market is at the beginning of that transition — not after."
Session One: Mongolia's Equity Moment featured a presentation on Mongolia's capital markets by Munkhbat D., CEO of the Mongolian Stock Exchange, and a presentation on the National Investment Fund of Mongolia by Marius Dan, CEO – Central Asia at Franklin Templeton, following the Government of Mongolia's memoranda of understanding signed this year with Franklin Templeton and BlackRock Financial Markets Advisory on the reform of Mongolia's $16.7 billion state-owned enterprise sector and sovereign wealth fund management. The session also featured company presentations by ICFG Limited, AND Global, and Golomt Bank, and concluded with a fireside chat with Golomt Bank CEO Odonbaatar A. — the bank behind Mongolia's landmark $500 million international bond, priced at 7.95% on a $2.1 billion order book.
Session Two: Mongolia's AI Moment turned to Mongolia's emerging technology story, with the presentation "Why Mongolia Built Its Own AI" by Badral S., Founder of Egune AI, and a panel discussion on Mongolia's opportunities in the AI era moderated by Jacob Puthenparambil, Founder and CEO of Redhill, with panelists Sainbileg M., Chief Investment Officer of Golomt Bank; Bolor-Erdene B., Founder and CEO of AI Academy Asia; and Badral S. of Egune AI.

The forum closed with remarks by Zolbayar Enkhbaatar and a networking reception hosted by Golomt Bank and StoneX.
CMM extends its gratitude to main sponsor Golomt Bank, global partner StoneX, strategic partner the Mongolian Stock Exchange, and presenting partners AND Global and ICFG Limited for making the forum possible.
The Mongolia Investment Forum series continues to connect Mongolian issuers with global investors across the world's financial hubs. Since 2024, the series has convened more than 700 investors across New York, London, Singapore, and Shanghai. Details of the next edition will be announced at capitalmarkets.mn.
