Moody's Assigns 'B2' Rating to Bogd Bank's Senior Unsecured Bond

Moody’s Ratings assigned a ‘B2’ foreign currency senior unsecured rating to Bogd Bank JSC’s U.S. dollar-denominated three-year fixed-rate senior unsecured bond, with a Stable outlook in line with the bank’s long-term deposit ratings.
The bond will rank senior, unsecured and unsubordinated, pari passu with Bogd Bank’s other unsecured obligations. Proceeds will be used for general banking and corporate purposes, including lending operations and diversifying funding sources.
Bogd Bank’s ‘b2’ Baseline Credit Assessment (BCA) is unchanged, with Moody’s incorporating no government support uplift due to the bank’s limited local deposit franchise. Moody’s identified funding diversification, capitalization, liquidity and asset quality as key factors affecting the bank’s credit profile.
CMM Perspective
Moody’s assessment highlights Bogd Bank’s standalone credit strength and limited reliance on government support. The new bond will support lending and funding diversification, while investors will continue to monitor capitalization, liquidity, funding structure and asset-quality trends as the bank expands.
